Steps
Step 1 of 6
Add a service
Open Store → Services and press + Add service. Give it a name and a short description.
Step 2 of 6
Choose how it is priced
Under How this service works, pick Fixed price, Hourly rate or Quote per job, and enter the price or hourly rate if it has one.
Step 3 of 6
Set the time and place
Enter How long it takes (minutes) and pick Where it happens: At our premises, At the customer's address or Remote. An on-site job asks the customer for an address.
Step 4 of 6
Let customers book a time
Tick Customers pick an appointment time to show a slot picker. Then set Notice needed (hours), Gap between jobs (minutes) and Jobs at the same time. Leave it unticked if you arrange times by phone; the job still lands on your board.
Step 5 of 6
Add materials, if the job uses stock
Under Materials it uses, press + Add a material for any product the job uses up. Keep Included in the price ticked if the price already covers it. Stock comes off when a job is booked.
Step 6 of 6
Save and follow your jobs
Press Create service. Bookings appear in Services → Jobs, where you assign and move each job along; Services → Schedule shows the week's scheduled work.
A service is listed like a product but priced as work. Choose one of three ways to price it, decide whether customers pick a time, and every booking becomes a job you can schedule and assign.
- Fixed price: one price per job, whatever it takes.
- Hourly rate: the price is a rate per hour; the bill is worked out again from the time actually worked when the job is completed.
- Quote per job: no listed price; customers ask for a quote instead of booking.
