Purchase orders to suppliers, with stock and cost updated when goods arrive.
What it does
- Raise a purchase order to a supplier, line by line
- Receive a delivery in full or in parts; the order's status follows what arrived
- Stock rises and the average cost updates only when goods are received
- Over-receiving and changing a line after delivery are refused, so costs stay true
How it works
- Create a purchase orderOpen Purchasing, pick a supplier and add the items and costs.
- Receive the goodsRecord what arrived, even if it is only part of the order.
- Costs updateStock goes up and each item's average cost is recalculated.
One count, whoever sells it.
One stock count per product: a counter sale and a website order each take one off, and a delivery adds 24 to the toner that was running low.

Weighted average cost
Each receipt blends the new cost with what you already hold: the cost of the old stock and the new stock, divided by the total quantity. That keeps your profit figures honest without tracking every batch separately.
Ordering moves nothing. Only a receipt changes stock, so goods that never arrive never inflate your inventory.

How is cost worked out?
